Adcock receives prestigious Barbara Thoman Curtis Award from the American Nurses Association, “for her significant contributions to nursing practice and health policy through political and legislative activity”.
Adcock honored by NC Nurses Association as 2017 Legislator of the Year. Adcock is a past president of the state’s professional organization that represents over 170,000 nurses.
Adcock awarded Certificate of Appreciation from UNC Nicotine Dependence Program “for her valuable contributions to promoting tobacco-free lives for youth and helping individuals who smoke to quit.”
Adcock named Champion for Health by the NC Alliance for Health.
Adcock designated as a Gun-Sense Candidate by Moms Demand Action Against Gun Violence.
Governor Cooper appoints Adcock to State Health Coordinating Council. The SHCC is responsible for creation of the annual state medical facilities plan. Adcock is the only House appointee.
