A Post-Election Message To My Supporters:

October 10, 2007
Dear Friends:
Yesterday was a remarkable day in Cary. Citizens in District D sent a clear message that they will accept nothing less than a change in the tenor of the relationship between themselves and the Town Council. I am humbled and grateful to have been elected as their messenger with 55% of the votes cast.
I'm very proud of the campaign we ran. We worked hard, used our resources strategically and maintained a positive spin on the issues. Our message of balanced decision-making, increased opportunities for citizen input, and greater transparency in government resonated with the voters. My leadership experience, community service and nursing background proved to be assets frequently cited by citizens at campaign events, neighborhood gatherings, and during door-to-door canvassing. While I received several important endorsements as well as donations from two PACs, it was the financial support of more than 150 individuals like you who made it possible for me to get my message out in effective ways. I am so grateful to you!
It is my greatest desire to serve Cary in a way that will make you proud that you helped me take this step into a new realm of servant leadership.
Sincerely,
Gale
